Demonstration experiment of an air-conditioning energy reduction system that utilizes AI and sensing data
The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.
Outline
In this demonstration experiment, we install cameras, thermometers, and other sensors in AEON Style Ebie to collect sensing data on human flow, traffic lines, temperature and humidity, CO2 concentration, and other data. Then we provide smart air-conditioning control and advanced services by utilizing AI and sensing data.
Smart air-conditioning control achieves energy savings by (1) introducing and shutting off outside air, (2) reusing air, and (3) controlling wind direction and air volume based on the density of people. In addition, as advanced services, we try to provide solutions that contribute to safe and secure stores, reducing waiting times, and advanced marketing.
Description
This demonstration experiment is the world's first attempt to demonstrate smart air-conditioning control in a supermarket. We aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% through optimal air-conditioning operation using AI and sensing data.
Specifically, various sensors will be installed in stores to measure the flow of people, traffic lines, temperature, humidity, CO2 concentration, etc., and optimal air-conditioning operation will be realized by analysis, learning, and prediction using AI.
In the demonstration experiment, open data on weather, events, traffic, etc. will also be integrated into the data platform, and we try to provide solutions that contribute to safe and secure stores, reducing waiting times, and advanced marketing as advanced services.
