Expanding the introduction of renewable energy through the use of optimal operation systems for storage batteries and solar power.
The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.
Outline
We have decided to start a demonstration experiment on energy management using a combination of solar power and storage batteries for our business customers.
In this demonstration experiment, surplus power from solar power is charged into storage batteries, and the charged power is used at appropriate times, such as at night.
It will also be possible to achieve Demand Response (DR) and Virtual Power Plant (VPP).
We aim to expand the introduction of renewable energy by using the knowledge gained from this demonstration experiment.
Description
We have decided to start a demonstration experiment on energy management using a combination of solar power and storage batteries for commercial customers, such as supermarket stores.
In this demonstration experiment, surplus power from solar power is charged into storage batteries, and the charged power is used at appropriate times, such as at night.
It is possible to reduce electric bill and use it for Business Continuity Plans (BCP) in emergency situations. And it will also be possible to achieve DR and VPP.
Based on the knowledge obtained in this demonstration experiment, we will enhance the functions of battery control technology and the VPP information platform (K-VIPs:Kanden Vpp Integrated Platform system).
We will develop energy management services for our customers and expand the introduction of renewable energy.
