Effort to improve efficiency of coal-fired power plants
(Efficiency improvement by replacement of turbine)
Hokuriku Electric Power Company
Outline
Efficiency improvement by replacement of turbines (Reduction of CO2 emissions)
Description
We aim to reduce CO2 emissions by efficiency improvement through replacement of turbines, such as the followings. (Reduction effect: about 200,000t)
- Increase of the number of stages of moving blades
- Loss control of steam flow by improving shapes of moving blades and nozzles
- Reduction of steam leakage by improvement in the construction of steam seal on the outer periphery of moving blades and the space in the rotor steam seal
